To prevent fraud, account sharing, and other malicious behavior, Packix has started to take action against those who have been using their Packix accounts, not for their intended purpose.
There are 3 types of bans, this article will explain each one.
1. Account Bans
Your Packix account may be banned if you are involved with one of the following:
- You paid for packages using a credit card or Paypal account that did not belong to you.
- You shared your account with people outside of your immediate family in your household.
- You did a giveaway for your Packix account or a giveaway for device links to your account.
- You requested a refund for a large number of packages for no reason (refund scamming).
- You are a part of a piracy team that is distributing packages from Packix.
These bans are manually given by Packix staff and CANNOT be appealed.
Refunds will only be issued in cases of fraud.
2. Device Bans (UDID Bans)
Your UDID becomes blacklisted if it's connected to an account that is banned.
Device bans are automatically applied to banned accounts and are not manually reviewed by Packix staff.
We understand that your device may have been linked to someone else's account that has been banned and now you are suffering the consequences, so for that, we offer a way of appealing by filling out this form: https://forms.gle/W76n2sGeM5nkttiR9. Please note that we will contact you ONLY if you are unbanned and we ask that you only fill out this form ONCE unless instructed to do so by Packix staff.
3. Payment Bans
When your account is banned, any PayPal email or credit card used on that account will become blocked on Packix as well. This means that those payment methods can no longer be used on Packix for buying packages.
Payment bans are automatically applied to banned accounts and are not manually reviewed by Packix staff. Payment bans CANNOT be appealed.
People often confuse device linking errors with device ban errors.
